Double Circle Spirits –
Some stories just write themselves.

The Double Circle Ranch has been passed down for five generations and was originally homesteaded in 1875 by original Oregon Pioneers, Joel Coleman Johnson and Ellen S. Crockett (Davy Crockett relation). Settling at the mouth of the Deschutes River, they took up farming and raising stock. Joel is credited with being the first to farm wheat east of the Cascades. Today, the land is still golden with endless waves of wheat.

Today, his great, great Grandson, Jason Johnson continues to grow the soft white wheat he uses for his small-batch spirits.

It’s a lot of fun to witness the development of Jason's ideas and enthusiasm. He has created a range of seven (and counting) different spirits that are available in Oregon and Washington beverage stores, as well as local farmers' markets. Collaborations with other farmers and makers have led to the production of maple syrup and limited edition runs.
